DAYA SAING DAN PENGARUH STANDAR KEAMANANAN PANGAN TERHADAP EKSPOR SAYURAN INDONESIA

Abstract


ABSTRACT
There have been growing concerns about the effects of food safety standards on agricultural trade throughout the world. Market acces of agricultural products is also influenced by level of competitiveness in the market of importing country.
Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA) and Export Product Dynamic are used in this research to analyze the competitiveness of Indonesia’s vegetables products export. This research also uses panel gravity model to analyze the effect of maximum residual limit (MRL) of pesticides imposed by importing countries on export of Indonesia’s vegetables products. The results from RCA method show that products which have high comparative advantage in destination countries is cabbage. The results show that stringent food safety standards imposed by importing countries have a negative and statistically significant effect on Indonesia’s export of vegetables products. The results also show that volume of Indonesia’s vegetables products exports are influenced by real GDP, population, production, economic distance,
ad valorem tariff, and competitiveness indices.
